Les Soeurs de la Gabelle Project… birthday.
“It all started in cellophane,
when a lonely pen was purchased
by a moustached man with a bright red cane…”
i dream big!
appropriate quote:
“It must be borne in mind that the tragedy of life doesn’t lie in not reaching your goal. The tragedy lies in having no goal to reach. It isn’t a calamity to die with dreams unfulfilled, but it is a calamity not to dream. It is not a disaster to be unable to capture your ideal, but it is a disaster to have no ideal to capture. It is not a disgrace not to reach the stars, but it is a disgrace to have no stars to reach for. Not failure, but low aim is a sin.”

There you go.

PROJECT BOXES… Inspiration underway.
I didn’t want to ruin this with my words but I just feel the need to explain this piece. I’ve been working with watercolors this past week and man has it been exciting. I had only worked with watercolor pencils before and I must say that watercolors on their own are way better. Gah, I love discovering new ways to enhance my doodles.
One of my favorite artists, ambird, posted a tutorial earlier this week:
that came in handy when I was inspired by Canyon, one of my favorite singer/songwriters:
http://hellomynameiscanyon.com
She has a song called ‘Aeroplanes + Astronuts’, it came on shuffle this morning and I immediately started doodling. I was even more excited when I realized I was going to be able to test out Ambird’s technique. I haven’t been this proud and giddy about the outcome of something I made in a really long time. :””)
It’s Tumblr Tuesday which makes it perfect for me to recommend you all to check out ambird, to take a listen to Canyon, and try something you haven’t had the chance to yet — ♪♫ ‘stop putting off until tomorrow and just start living life’. Trust me, you will not be disappointed.
